I continually seek the complete work that contains both the beauty of gesture and a core of meaning.

I investigate the philosophical and physical presence of the book: the very nature of visual language, the visual power of word and image combined and the notion that both are codes to be deciphered.

I engage with classic texts, and the resulting synthesis of tradition and modernity. The mark making of printmaking and calligraphy-repeatable (printed) and unique (hand drawn), inspire my art.
